Letter 1: August 2010

“Dear Geoff,
I would like to extend a sincere thank you on behalf of our family for the way you handled my younger brother's funeral arrangements.
I am so glad my brother asked us to use Ivan Butler Funeral Directors as your service was outstanding. You were very professional, caring and sincere. What you did was above and beyond what most funeral directors do as we noticed in the past. Your presence made us feel like you were part of our family mourning our loss.
A personal touch at such an occasion is rare in today's society and we will forever appreciate it.”

Letter 2: August 2010

“Hi Glen,
I just wanted to thank you so much for your attention to detail in helping us with the arrangements for our late mother's funeral.
My brothers were particularly impressed with the short service you did at the internment, as I was also, but it did mean a lot to me that they were encouraged by your words and the simplicity of the service was more meaningful to them, not being committed Christians if you get my drift. Your professionalism in your job made everything go like clockwork and made all aspects of Mum's farewell very relaxed.

Letter 3: December 2006

“Michael, your hand at the helm was absolutely marvelous. The service was absolutely beautiful and your consideration and concern for us was really magnificent. Between you and … (the minister) her every wish was followed through and the service went so smoothly. The idea of piping the minister in was excellent because bagpipes can be extremely overpowering but the way “Amazing Grace” was achieved was excellent.
The comments from everyone I spoke to after the service were – ‘That was a beautiful service’. I am sure she would have been thrilled at the way the whole service was conducted. Michael I can’t thank you enough for the large part you played in farewelling our darling sister.”

Letter 4: June 1997

“My thanks to you for your most professional and caring approach at the time of my father’s death. I know that my mother was most grateful and appreciative of your excellent service.”

Letter 5: July 2005

“I wish to thank you and your staff for looking after my mother’s funeral service and affairs so well. As such things go I felt that my mother had a lovely service. Your assistance made it so much easier to bear. On behalf on my family and myself thank you again for making everything involved go so smoothly. I must mention the flowers too as they looked beautiful, thus I highly recommend your florist also.”

Letter 6: April 2000

“This is just a short note to say a special thank you for your help and sympathetic dealings with us during the recent traumatic time following the death of our dear mother. I know it is your job but I believe you bring to your profession all the best attributes possible and I am glad that mum had decided to use Ivan Butler Funerals.”
